OK Mart: A Logo Redesign Rooted in Culture and Community

I reimagined the identity of OK Mart, a Korean grocery store, with a fresh, modern logo that bridges tradition and everyday familiarity. The design blends clean typography with subtle cultural references—reflecting the store’s role as both a neighborhood staple and a window into Korean heritage. This project was an exploration in balance: creating a mark that feels welcoming, culturally respectful, and visually adaptable across packaging, signage, and more.

A Logo Redesign Rooted in Culture and Community

This rebrand for OK Mart began with cultural and market research, exploring Korean symbols and grocery branding. After creating over 20 logo sketches, I developed a final mark inspired by the red and blue of the Korean flag—representing balance and unity. The clean design is approachable and respectful to both Korean and Canadian audiences. The project also included a full stationery set and a detailed brand guide for consistent visual identity across all touchpoints.
